DRAFT — under review. This page is a working draft and has not been reviewed by the owner or a lawyer. It may change before it is final.

Terms of service

Draft, September 2026. Applies to bookings made on this site.

These are the terms between you and Mailbox Spa (“we”, “us”) when you book a curbside mailbox service through this site. Booking means you agree to them. The short version: you pick a preferred date, we work at your curb during the month you booked, and you can change or cancel for free until 48 hours before your preferred date.

What we do

We restore curbside mailboxes. A Mailbox Refresh cleans, preps, primes, and repaints the mailbox and post in gloss black, repaints or replaces the red flag, and installs new brass house numbers (up to five characters). We do not offer other services through this site.

We work at the curb only. We do not enter your home, garage, or fenced yard, and no one needs to be home. If your mailbox sits inside a gated community, you agree to give us the gate or community code at booking so the crew can reach it.

Prices and payment

The price you pay is the price shown at checkout for the services you selected, computed from our price list for the date and address you booked. Neighborhood Day pricing applies only when your address is inside the promotion’s boundary and your preferred date is one of its dates; any other date is standard price. Later changes to our price list do not change a booking already made.

You pay in full at booking through Stripe, our payment processor. We never see or store your card details. No sales tax is charged at this time; if that changes, tax will be shown before you pay.

Your preferred date and target window

When you book, you pick a preferred date. Your booking carries a target window of two days either side of it, kept inside the month of the promotion when you booked a Neighborhood Day. The window is a target, not a promise.

When several neighbors on the same street book, we do the whole street in one visit. That visit may fall outside your window. The one date commitment we make is the month: a Neighborhood Day booking is completed within the promotion’s month, and a standard booking within the month of your preferred date, unless weather or safety forces a change (see below).

We message you by email, and by text if you opted in, the day before we come. That message is the first time we name a single day. We do not book time slots; the crew works its route in its own order during the day.

Reschedule, cancel, and refunds

  • 48 hours or more before your preferred date: reschedule or cancel for free. A cancellation is refunded in full.
  • Inside 48 hours of your preferred date: you can reschedule for free, or cancel and receive a refund minus a $25 late cancellation fee.
  • Moving between Neighborhood Day and standard dates: another date in the same promotion keeps the same price if it has room. Moving to a standard date costs the difference, and moving from a standard date to a Neighborhood Day date you are eligible for refunds the difference.
  • If we reschedule: weather, safety, or crew availability can force us to move your visit. Our reschedules are always free and never change your price. If the new date does not work, you can cancel for a full refund.

Refunds go back through Stripe to the card you paid with, usually within five to ten business days depending on your bank. To change or cancel, use the link in your confirmation email, reply to it, or find your booking.

HOA compliance

Our work is meant to satisfy the usual HOA mailbox standards in our service area: gloss black box and post, a red flag, and legible house numbers. If your HOA flags anything about our work after we finish, we fix it at no charge. This applies to the work we did, not to parts of the mailbox or post we were not booked to touch.

Your property and our work

You confirm that you own the property or are authorized to have the mailbox at that address serviced. We treat the mailbox and post as your property and the curb area as our workspace for the visit. Fresh paint needs time to cure; please leave the box alone until the day after we come.

We are licensed and insured. If we damage your property while working, tell us within seven days and we will make it right. We are not responsible for pre-existing damage, rust-through, rot, or a post that cannot be reset without replacement, and we will tell you if we find any of those before we go further.

Photos

We photograph the mailbox before and after the work to document the job and send you the result. We use those photos in marketing only if you checked the photo consent box at booking. You can withdraw that consent at any time by emailing us, and we will stop using the photos going forward.

Messages

We email you a confirmation and a day-before notice. If you opted in to text messages, we also text those, plus a message when we are on the way. Reply STOP to any text to stop them; you will still get email. Message and data rates may apply.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Virginia. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Virginia. If part of these terms cannot be enforced, the rest still applies. We may update these terms; the version shown when you book is the one that applies to that booking.
